At the Antique shop in Ethno village Ljubačke doline you can buy the antique or the artwork that stays with you. Furniture, paintings, sculptures, jewellery, porcelain, glass, ceramics, gramophones, cameras, clocks… and the odd piece that has been waiting for the right person. This is not a display you only look at. House number 41, the timber house with the clay-tile roof and the sign „Старинарница / Antikvarnica“, is here so that things can travel on, into another home.
You step through the open door and it is warm inside, wood and old time. Paintings on easels, plates and clocks on the walls, jewellery and small things in the cabinets, a gramophone here, a typewriter there, a kilim underfoot. There is also what people collect for years: old radios, sewing machines, coins, porcelain that has already lived in more than one house. We look around without hurry. If something catches your eye, that is the one.
